Someone tell me why Bud Selig thinks its a good idea for the All-Star winning league to get home field advantage for the World Series. If thats the case, they should only play the players that are on teams that have a shot at going to the World Series.

I think they should go back to the old format and make it fun to watch. Coaches try to get everyone in there.. Players have fun. The other problem is that some pitchers are already on the "do not pitch in the All-Star game" list because they may be resting.

This format has to change.

Home field advantage should go to the team with the best record. Its as easy as that. There are too many other issues associated with the All-Star game.

1) You can't pitch your best pitchers sometimes becasue they may be resting.
2) Crappy teams send players that could effect a good team's chance at winning the WS.
3) Managers can't get all the deserving players into the game.
