It was interesting to see the red carpet and guys like Derrek Lee, Randy Wells, and Sean Marshall posing for pictures. We weren’t sure what to expect as the RSVP sounded like celebrities may be in attendance. I didn’t spot any. In fact, the first person I recognized was Ronnie Woo Woo’s assistant.

I now know that ‘business casual’ has been redefined to mean suits and ties and elegant dresses.

Someone needed to tell Ted Lilly where the red carpet was. Him and his wife were having a hard time stumbling around pulling on locked doors. I’m surprised nobody recognized him. I think he was just as surprised because he was trying hard not to be recognized.

The Chicago Theater is an amazing place visually. I wasn’t impressed with the audio quality and I swear they had the air conditioning on 45 degrees, but overall, it was a great experience.

Mark DeRosa had one of the biggest cheers of the night. When the documentary focused on him, the place went crazy. It was funny to see Cubs GM, Jim Hendry, make a comment that Mark DeRosa was the kind of guy you build a team around.

Our seats were amazing! Big thanks to the Producer, Chad Smith, for hooking us up.

Also big thanks to Chad for the special thanks to cubbiesbaseball.com in the closing credits of the movie!

We Believe is an awesome documentary and a very professional view of Chicago, the Cubs, and their fans. It gave me that same feeling that movies like Field of Dreams and The Natural did.
