Skyline City Prints
CBB ran into Steve Slaske outside Wrigley Field in 2009 and his artwork immediately caught our eye. Steve brings 2 pieces of Cubs artwork
from his City Skyline Prints, but also has a wealth of art available on his
website at SkylineCityPrints.com.
"Wrigley", displays Cubs fans surrounding the Wrigley Marquis in this fisheye view of the entire stadium and "Wrigley Field" shows a unique vertical panorama of Wrigley Field, includes the Wrigley Marquis, the field, and the scoreboard.
"While I don't generally draw and paint sports scenes, I've always had a special thing for the Cubs and Wrigley Field. They ARE baseball to me. So, when I came up with a unique idea for capturing Wrigley Field in a panoramic format, I went for it."
"My image includes all of the great aspects of Wrigley that make it what it is- the marquee, the field, the scoreboard and part of Chicago's skyline behind. My second image came about by wanting to capture the entire outside of the stadium as if you're looking through a fish eye lens- showing the whole place in a way you can't even take in standing in one glimpse."
