Cubbies 'W'
The Cubs 'W' flag is the most important piece to ending the curse and the 99-year World Series drought. After
each game, the scoreboard operators fly a white flag with a 'W' if they win and a blue flag with
a 'L' if they lose.
Hanging the flag has been tradition since 1917 at Wrigley Field. During and after games, fans
will see numerous references to the W, including banners, car flags, t-shirts, and much more.
